Graston Technique

The Graston Technique is an instrument-assisted soft-tissue mobilization technique used to promote healing and restore muscle length.  This form of manual therapy uses specially designed tools to detect and break down scar tissue and release restrictions in your muscles, fascia, and tendons.   As the adhesions are broken, specific stretching and strengthening exercises are performed to realign the tissues and to improve the health and function of your muscles and tendons.

Conditions that are commonly treated with the Graston Technique are: Chronic tendonitis: Achilles (ankle), Patellar and quad (knee), tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, plantar fasciitis (foot) and Iliotibial band syndrome.  The Graston Technique is also an excellent tool for soft tissue mobilization of the hip, low back, neck and shoulders for rehab in these areas.
