Yoga Basics
Enhance your strength, flexibility and improve your posture with yoga at APT. With a focus on proper breathing, we will flow through a series of poses to increase your strength and flexibility while helping quiet your mind. This class combines the benefits of yoga with our anatomical cuing to help you learn how to keep your body in the correct neutral position during the poses. Props will be used when modifications are necessary to keep you in neutral alignment.

Free Community Nordic Walking Class
Rediscover the lost art of walking. This is great for those of you who need to start a walking program, but are unable to because of pain. Walking with poles decreases stress through a painful lower extremity by 25%, and is a great way to cue core muscles and good posture. We find it to be an excellent tool for gait training.
This class is three consecutive Wednesday mornings and will start Wednesday, October 19th, at 9:00am. Nordic Poles will be provided. This is an outdoor class, so please remember to dress appropriately for the weather.

Nordic Walking with Poles Class - Cost: $120.00
Evening Class: Wednesdays at 5:30pm starting March 16th
Morning Class: Thursdays at 8:30am starting March 17th
This spring we will hold our first Nordic walking with poles class. This new form of exercise improves balance, agility, coordination, efficiency of movement, and visual acuity. Using poles unloads painful joints that may have prevented you from enjoying the excellent weight bearing exercise of walking. We love it because the upright posture that is required for Nordic walking encourages your posture muscles (level 1 stabilizers) to continuously engage to provide dynamic stability to keep your joints in a neutral position. The class will also review the use of the equipment, the basic technique and exercises to help improve your performance. Patricipants will be provided with their own poles.
Class Duration: 6 weeks
