Monica Kunkler, PT
Monica is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her 19 years of practicing physical therapy include working at specialty centers such as the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, Chicago Institute of Neurosurgery and Neuroresearch, Hinsdale Hospital’s Paulson Center, and Aspen Valley Hospital in Colorado. Monica's areas of expertise include orthopedics (spine, sports medicine, pre- and post-surgical rehabilitation, and aquatic rehabilitation) and women's health (stress/urge incontinence, pelvic pain, vulvodynia, and pregnancy and postpartum issues).
Her extensive background and training in muscle energy, the McKenzie Method, Mulligan technique, strain-counterstrain, and mobilization have influenced her eclectic manual treatment approach and created a foundation that allows patients to progress to core stabilization and functional exercises. |
